Digital artist Andrés Reisinger alongside director and visual artist Sam Mason present ANY DAY NOW, a new digital artwork that will be exhibited in London at W1 Curates digital exhibition space, W1 Immersive, from October 20th to November 10th. The unique gallery located in the heart of Oxford Circus uses state-of-the-art technology to showcase the most innovative digital creations, both projected on their large-sized public outdoor screens and in their interior spaces. The overall enveloping experience will plunge visitors into Reisinger and Mason’s shared vision, and will talk, simply, about life.

Reisinger and Mason’s piece is a visual poem reflecting on life’s cycle and everything that happens in between. The main question is towards the possibilities of the future: how will our experience be, next time? The overall feel of ANY DAY NOW is reminiscent of a metaphysical suspension counteracted by a strong geometrical structure. The artwork paints a place in unrolled time, where gravity reigns and where any living element, such as humans, is extracted. Several components have been included as metaphors of life and its endless evolution. Life, power, wealth, and nature are narrated through universal symbols, portraying a picture of the present moment that endures forever. ANY DAY NOW includes some of Reisinger’s signature symbols, such as the apples and books, signifying the physicality of things translated into the virtual realm in a game of proportions and dimensions. These objects are set into motion by Mason’s dream space, brought to life in a looping allegorical narrative. New elements, such as the columns, also appear, solid symbols of ancient architecture inserted into a novel world.

The outdoor screens will constantly be on, to allow London passers-by to admire the artwork at any time of the day. For the indoor enveloping installation, three different spaces create a portal towards divinity; the environments are each dominated by a table, symbolising life itself, with various objects laying, as circumstances and moments that come, dictate, define, and simply go. The overall composition, enriched by a new audio work by musician RAC, is filled with sand, reminding us of the temporality of everything; the artwork, however, never speaks of there being an end or a beginning, rather illustrating the infinite cycle of life.

The portrayed images speak of the structure of the world; a front facing environment, clearly showcasing the ground below, where souls exist, and the ground above, given life by light. “We reflected and illustrated our vision of life and its perpetual state of being; what are the driving forces that define its past, present and future?” states Reisinger. “The rolling of a king’s head or apple, the absence of people. We dive down like an archeological extraction, seeing who they are from above and below. How will it be different next time? Only time will tell” states Mason.

“Andrés Reisinger is a well-known digital artist who belongs to a generation of designers exploring the endless possibilities of 3D and the emerging NFT market. Currently bridging the gap between traditional and digital artists, it seemed logical that W1 Curates would collaborate with Andrés. By creating spaces that defy physical reality and are enhanced by a new audio piece by musician RAC, his art blurs the boundaries between truth and fantasy. W1 Immersive will exhibit the art piece conceived by Andrés alongside artist Sam Mason ‘ANY DAY NOW’, which W1 Curates are extremely excited and proud to exhibit” states Mark Dale, founder of W1 Curates. For ANY DAY NOW, Reisinger and Mason conceived an artwork that speaks of a theme common to all, thinking of the specific public location of its exhibit; on the other hand, it is a singular example of an expression of technology that is able to construct human, poetic narratives.
